Union Minister U Ko Ko Hlaing receives special envoy of the ASEAN Chair

U Ko Ko Hlaing, Union Minister for International Cooperation and Chairman of the Task Force to facilitate the Provision of Humanitarian Assistance to Myanmar received Mr. Prak Sokhoon, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia at 17:20hrs on 30 June 2022 at the Ministry of International Cooperation in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the Meeting, Union Minister and special envoy exchanged views on the progress of the provision of humanitarian assistance to Myanmar for Phase-1,preparations for delivery of Phase-2 and for the implementation of the framework for COVID-19 Vaccine Administration in Myanmar. Union Minister reaffirmed Myanmar’s readiness and commitment to closely coordinate with the ASEAN Secretariat, AHA Center, and current ASEAN Chair in order to ensure humanitarian assistance are delivered to those needed most in fair and indiscriminate manner.

The Meeting was attended by Dr. ThetKhaing Win, Union Minister for Health and the Vice Chairman of the Task Force, Dr. Daw Thet Thet Khine, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and Vice Chairperson of the Task Force, and senior officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.
